The Rydges Hotel is such that the distance from the airport is also not much. You just need to travel for about ten minutes. You can also avail of the shuttle bus service that is provided by the hotel itself. In fact Rotorua is well connected to the whole of New Zealand irrespective of whether you are traveling by air, rail or road. The city is just at a distance of three hours.
Reaching the hotel poses not much of a problem if you have managed to reach the city of Rotorua. The airport is one of the busiest among all the other domestic terminals in the country. From Auckland it is going to take 35 minutes by air, 4 hours by bus and 3 hours if you drive.
If you are coming from Hamilton it will take you about 20 minutes by air, 2 hours by bus and if you are driving then would need approximately one and a half hours. You will not face a problem if you are traveling from Wellington also. You need to drive for about 6 hours, by air you will take an hour and ten minutes and by bus the time it would take is 8 hours. |
